Homeopathic wart removal that REALLY works!

By now, it's common knowledge that warts don't magically appear after touching toads. In fact, most warts are caused by the HPV virus.

That's right, warts are viral! They're also quick to spread, and can easily become quite uncomfortable, sometimes even painful. Dont worry --- I'll spare you the in-depth science lesson on warts, and just focus on removing them.

My son has had warts on his fingers for years. They've really started to spread and grow, and it's finally bothering him. So, I did what any parent would, I called the pediatrician. The pediatrician said I would have to find a dermatologist that works with children, and is in network for my son's health care. Ok, seemed easy enough. Let me tell you... Living in a small town, it's almost impossible to find a Dr who will touch this. I searched for almost 6 months, before finally giving up.

I decided to try over the counter treatments. The drops didnt work at all, and actually hurt him more than the warts did! In fact, the over the counter chemical treatments burned him, and left blisters.
We had a similar experience with the over the counter freeze-away treatment. I was tired of seeing my son so upset, so I decided to research and find natural cures for warts.

There's a lot of good information online, and a lot of very helpful tips. I wanted to start with the least invasive, and work my way up. To my surprise, the least invasive method actually worked! We tested it on one wart, and have had great success. Now we are going to try it on all of the warts and see if our good luck continues. I'm hopeful, and because of the rapid changes, I'm sharing our wart cure with you.

This is a safe, nontoxic, pain free, solution to common warts. It also works for plantar warts, flat warts, moles, and skin tags. For more info on types of warts, CLICK HERE.

What you'll need:
  • Cotton balls
  • Medical tape or bandaids
  • White vinegar

Our method:

To be done daily, before bed. Length of treatment will vary per case.

Soak a cotton ball in white vinegar. Tape the cotton ball to the wart, using medical tape or bandaids sized for the wart. Keep This on over night. Remove in the morning, and discard. Repeat the process nightly. The wart will turn black, and may start to get seedy or cracked. Keep applying the vinegar each night. Eventually the wart will turn white and fall off, or peel off. Clip off any peeling bits. Continue This method for a few days after the wart is gone. This ensures it will not come back!

This method works on warts, moles, and skin tags!

It is pain free, although some mild stinging may occur for the first few minutes. If this is uncomfortable or unbearable, please discontinue use!!!

Also, keep in mind that warts are contagious! Discard all used cotton balls and tape/ bandaids. Do NOT re-use them!!! This method DOES work, and will have to be repeated for each wart.

To reduce the spread of warts, wash hands frequently. Avoiding skin to skin contact with affected areas is also a good idea.

As for genital warts, I've heard this works for them as well. However, I've read that it can be painful, due to the nature and location of the wart. In the event that you want to try this method for genital warts, I suggest consulting your Dr first. If not, be very careful ---- and do not continue if it is very painful!

Alternative methods:

While we tried white vinegar, many sources say that Apple cider vinegar works well too. Especially unfiltered, with the mother still intact. I've not tried this, but would assume it should work exactly the same as the white vinegar.

There's also a lot of talk about using tea tree oil or Oregano oil to remove warts. I'm unsure of this, as I have used tea tree as an antibacterial, but have never tried it as a wart removal method. However, the method is the same for tea tree oil. Soak over night, repeat daily. Tea tree oil is toxic if ingested, so we tried vinegar first, as it's a nontoxic alternative. Vinegar is also a lot less expensive that tea tree oil. In the event the vinegar doesn't work, I would suggest trying the tea tree oil method!

I hope you've found this helpful, and a tad informative. Just remember, if it hurts, discontinue use!!! This is not to be taken as medical advice, or as a substitute for medical advice. This is simply one mother's tested and proven method for wart removal.

Good Luck!

Pure Harmony

As everyone knows, I really like to use alternative healing methods when at all possible. Usually this is through aromatherapy, or essential oil ingestion (skin & oral). In fact, some natural essential oils are more potent than the chemical laden medicines the doctors prescribe!
It's also a well known fact that I suffer from GAD (Generalized Anxiety Disorder). I am always experimenting and tweaking aromatherapy recipes, looking for the perfect calming blend. Needless to say --- I was thrilled when asked to test and review a premixed blend of natural oils, that are specifically supposed to promote harmony and inner calming.

I've been using the Pure Care, Natural Air Freshener (scent: Pure Harmony) for about a week now, and I'm rather impressed with the results! It has a calming effect on me, not quite as much as I need, but it's a great start! I feel it has a tad too much Ylang Ylang oil in it... This could be what's keeping me from achieving a deeper calm? I'm not sure... But, it's slightly overwhelming, and happens to be one of the sour notes in the blend. I'm just about positive that's what's mucking it up for me.

Aside from a small disagreement between my brain and the essential oil blend, it's a pleasant scent. I would love to try the other blends that are said to promote bliss, and energy.

When life hands you lemons...

Lemon oil is a bright, citrus scent, that's perfect for aromatherapy, muscle rubs, and makes any cleaning solution smell fresh and inviting. For me, its mostly for aromatherapy. However, I have been known to use lemon oil in my dryer balls, to freshen my linens.... and also in my cleaning sprays.

I'm always on the hunt for pure, reasonably priced essential oils, and I have no problem sharing my finds with the world! My newest discovery is a brand called LIFTcare Essential Oils. Their lemon oil is amazing! It's extremely potent, and pure. In fact, it's extracted from ripened fruit by cold pressing, and every bottle is 5x the potency of a standard bottle of lemon oil!!! It's also undiluted, so no carrier oils have been added. Plus, it smells heavenly! I am truly in love with the fresh scent of citrus oils, especially lemon, and this does not disappoint!
So, if you're looking for a well-priced, undiluted, lemon oil... Look no further. LIFTcare Essential Oils has the perfect oil for a great price!

KOKO AROMA

As a frequent user of oil diffusers, I can honestly say that this is by far the most elegant and beautiful of them all. The Eve glass diffuser by KOKO AROMA is perfect for any room of the home, as it is not only functional, but decorative as well! I personally keep mine on top of my tv stand, in the living room. This diffuser works just like any other diffuser; add water to the fill line, add oils, and use. It has a built in nightlight, for ambient light, and a beautiful decorative glass cover.   I love the warm light that it provides, but I do wish that it had an option to use the diffuser without the nightlight (for day time use.)

This diffuser has 3 available modes: 2 hr continuous, 4 hr --- cycling every 15 seconds, and Off. Pretty simple, right? The nice thing about the 2 hr and 4 hr settings is that te nightlight turns off when the diffusion ends. So, you can go to bed and not worry about it running all night! I received mine at a discounted price, in exchange for my honest opinion on the product, and I'm pleased with my purchase!

In Essence...

For my family, aromatherapy via essential oils, is a normal part of every day life. Whether using oils to scent my home, or to fulfill certain functions, they've become a permanent fixture. I personally feel that cold diffusers are the quickest, safest, and most economical source for aromatherapy. Why? Quicker, because the essential oils are diffused into the air immediately, and no time is wasted on waiting for bulbs or heating elements to reach temperature. Safer, because no heat is involved. God forbid my children get a hold of the diffuser and spill it... They won't get burned! Lastly, it's more economical. Yes, I know, it uses electricity just like other units... But, it also requires far less of each essential oil. This is a huge factor, since pure essential oils are rather pricey.

As far as actual diffuser units go, I prefer to use a larger unit in my main living space, and a smaller unit in my bed room. This particular model is perfect for the bedroom. It's small enough to sit on a night stand, and comes with an optional built in night light! This means you can used it with the light or without! Plus, you can pause the light and keep it at one color, or let it continue to gently sift through each color. I also happen to think it's quite tranquil, and very relaxing. On the other hand, it can also be very romantic. After all, two important factors in "setting the mood", are lighting and scent!

An added benefit to having one of these in the bedroom; they serve as miniature humidifiers! Use them without oils, and they're plain old humidifiers. Toss in a few drops of eucalyptus oil, and you have a great cold and cough vapor! Add a few drops of tea tree oil, and you have an antibacterial vapor that will cleanse the air, as well as help with cold and cough! Or, just add a few drops of lavender, lemon, and one drop of peppermint, and you have what I call "calm & relax". I use this on especially stressful days!
I absolutely love that I was given this diffuser as a gift, to test and review. It's become such a staple in my life, I honestly don't know how I ever managed without it!

These oils are pure & undiluted, and they really do offer many different health benefits. I've grown to know and love InstaNatural as a brand, for providing useful, natural products. And, these oils are no exception! My only complaint is that the stoppers on the bottles leak. These bottles need to be stored upright, or they will leak, and you will lose your oils.

I've been using essential oils for a while now in my every day life, including; aroma therapy, massage and healing touch, and in home made laundry detergent, lotions, and soaps. I even use essential oils on my children! At bath time, I often add a few drops of lavender lemon  oils, to soothe and calm them before bed. I use peppermint and lavender for headaches and muscle aches. There are literally millions of uses for essential oils, and they can easily play a huge, natural, role in daily life!

Fractionated Coconut Oil - Pure Body Naturals

Dye free, perfume free, good ol' fractionated coconut oil! I love the fractionated coconut oil by Pure Body Naturals. It happens to be one of the very few that truly is scent free, and completely pure of additives and impurities. I'm a huge advocate of this because a lot of fractionated coconut oils have a faint scent that's reminiscent of baby vomit, and I truly can not stand that smell. Disgusting! It turns my stomach. As for impurities, there's nothing like ruining your aromatherapy burners because they get gummed up by added silicates and such.

This oil is 100% and I love that! It mixes easily. Diluting the strongest of oils, but maintaining their scent. This is exceptionally important, because some oils are rather pricey and it's and expensive lesson to learn when you've mixed them with an oil containing a fragrance or contaminant that ruins the integrity of the essential oil.
Aside from aromatherapy, this oil is great for massage. It warms quickly, and works over and into the skin without issue. It also leaves no greasy residue, or waxy film --- as many other massage products do. Again, it leaves behind 0 scent, unless scented with (synergy) essential oils or the like.
This oil can even be used in the making of home made lotions, body butters, leave-in conditioners, the list goes on... It has so many uses, even those beyond personal care! I lucked out, and received my bottle as a gift, to test and review. But there is no doubt in my mind that I will be purchasing more once this bottle is gone. I highly recommend this product for those in search of a natural alternative for home goods. Or those looking to venture into home-made personal care products! Not to mention the massage therapists, and aromatherapy gurus out there!

Eye Pillow Vacation - Unscented Eye Pillow & Lavender Eye Pillow

If you have ever had a migraine, or if you are a long time sufferer of migraines... You know how painful they can be. You also know how long they can last, and how much stress and strain they put on your body.

I, personally, have suffered from migraines since I was a child. It's been a long struggle, finding something that soothes and relaxes me enough to ease the pain --- without having to take medications. The nightmare got worse when my 6 year old son started suffering from migraines as well. I was at a loss... Nothing seemed to help, short of vomiting and going directly to bed. I couldn't stand to see my child go through this as well! We have tried literally everything, and were finally feeling defeated when I saw this product on tomoson.com. It claimed to be able to help ease migraines, and relieve stress and anxiety. Plus, being approved to test and review the product via tomoson.com meant that it would cost me nothing! What did I have to lose?!? I mean, really.. My son and I have been battling our migraines (and anxiety) for 4 and a half years now, what could it hurt? What if it works?!?

I applied and was accepted... Hallelujah!

Now to see if they work...

At first, I was skeptical, because nothing ever works. EVER. My son, however, was hopeful. So, we each took our Eye Pillows, and conducted our own extensive testing.

I went with the lavender scented pillow, in a black organic cotton cover.

I chose lavender because I have heard that it is one of the best essential oils not only for headaches, but for relaxation, and anxiety. I have anxiety in the worst kind of way... At first I tried the pillow on its' own. It was very nice, and relaxing. I especially liked the weight of the flax seeds on my face. After, I tried spritzing with water and microwaving the eye pillow --- per the directions. This was an unusual sensation to me, but not unpleasant. The scent was stronger, and the warmth was exceptionally soothing. I waited a few days and tried the pillow cold. Again, per the directions, I put it in a zippered bog in the freezer for 2 hours. This was by far the most pleasant variation that I tried. The scent was faint, but definitely still noticeable --- it was also a cooler scent, and easier to breathe in. I also adored the feeling of the weight of chilled flax seeds on my skin much more than the unchilled. It provided amazing stress and anxiety relief for me, almost immediately! I found a winner! Plus --- It does help with migraines! I have tried it all three ways since my testing, with headaches etc. I still prefer the cold method, but all three do help with migraines as well as anxiety!!!

My son, was conducting his own testing during this time as well...

He chose the unscented, natural flax seed eye pillow, in the blue satin case.

My son does not have the same anxiety issues that I have (thankfully), but he does have migraines...
He also tried all three variations of his eye pillow. Room temperature, warmed, and chilled. He was not a fan at all of the warmed pillow, and said that it was very uncomfortable on his skin, and smelled of oatmeal. He can't stand oatmeal.. As for the room temperature and chilled options; he preferred the chilled over the room temperature. He said that when he gets his headaches, his face feels warm and he feels sick.. The cold helps to relieve the warm, nausea that he feels, and he is better able to relax and let his headache fade away. The room temperature doesn't bother him, but he much prefers the chilled version. The pillow does, however, help with his headaches! It doesn't cure them, but it helps him to relax and rest until they fade enough to be manageable.

There you have it... Two successful tests of both the scented and unscented versions of the Eye Pillo w Vacation;  Unscented Eye Pillow & Lavender Scented Eye Pillow.

My son and I, both, recommend these eye pillows to anyone looking for a non chemical reprieve from stress, anxiety, and migraine headaches! As an added bonus, these pillows are made in the USA.

Mammoth Allie® Ultrasonic Essential Oil Diffuser --- Featuring; Purasentials Ultra Premium Lavender Essential Oil - 100% Pure

Mammoth Allie® Ultrasonic Essential Oil Diffuser

I LOVE this ultrasonic oil diffuser! It doesn't require any heating, so the oils diffuse super fast. This also means that the unit does NOT get hot--- So, if my 2 year old happens to get a hold of it I do not have to worry about her being burned! It is easy to set up and use, and works within minutes. This unit actually puts off more fragrance than any other diffuser I've used so far, which is an amazing selling point --- as far as I'm concerned. I did receive this diffuser as a gift, to test & review, but I would most definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a high quality ultrasonic style oil diffuser.

Purasentials Ultra Premium Lavender Essential Oil - 100% Pure

And a few drops of peppermint. It was heavenly! I'm also partial to lavender and vanilla, the aroma is so soothing and really calms my anxiety! I can't stress enough how amazing this oil is. *Recipe* Liquid Laundry Detergent

So many people have been asking me about my laundry soap.

The questions I am asked most often are; Why do you make your own laundry detergent? What's in your detergent? And, Can you teach me how to make my own detergent? To be honest, I make my own detergent because I like knowing what I'm putting on my skin, and controlling what chemicals my children are exposed to. Plus, it's super economical! As for what I put in my soap--- I use basic ingredients. Soap, washing soda, borax, water, and essential oils. I do however have my favorite products that I prefer to use in my detergent. For example: I prefer Fels Naptha to Zote, and my favorite essential oils to use are From Purasentials.

Anyhow, here is my basic recipe. Feel free to modify it as you see fit!

1 bar Fels Naptha or Zote ( any soap can be used but the consistency will vary!)
2 cups Washing Soda
1.5 cups Borax Powder

Grate the soap into a large pot ( I prefer a medium grate --- it seems to melt evenly an quickly without clumping too much!)

Add 1 gallon of water to the pot or soap shavings, and heat on medium. Stir continuously until the soap dissolves. If the water boils that's ok! Just turn the heat down so that it doesn't suds up!

Pour the liquid soap into a 5 gallon bucket. Add another gallon of hot water.

Stir in the Borax and Washing Soda. Stir until they dissolve into the liquid soap!

Continue to add hot water until you've reached the "fill" line on the bucket. Be sure to stir as you add water --- to be sure that the soap, Borax, & Washing Soda mix into the added water.

At this point you can add essential oils to scent the soap, or leave it plain. This go round, I've added 20 drops of lemon oil, and 10 drops of lavender oil! Tweak it to the scent you like! ( Unless you add scent, the soap will leave very little to no scent at all in the wash!)

Cover the bucket and let it sit for 24 hours before using! This makes 5 gallons of liquid laundry detergent concentrate!!! The consistency will range from that of egg drop soup, to a thick gelatinous substance. ( Fels Naptha I'd a denser soap and is more on the runny side. While Zote is a very creamy soap, and gels up pretty thick!)

To use: mix thoroughly & add 50/50 liquid laundry detergent concentrate & water --- use 1/2 cup to 1 cup of mix per load. Adjust the soap amount if the load is exceptionally dirty.

*This is a low sudsing solution & is safe for HE washers!

**This recipe makes a total of 10 gallons of liquid laundry detergent, once mixed 50/50 with water for use.
