Gluten Free Christmas Ornaments!

Gluten Free Christmas Ornaments

2 cups gluten free flour
( I like Bob's RedMill gluten free for this recipe)
1 cup salt
1 cup warm water

In a stand mixer, combine dry ingredients. Slowly add water to the middle. You want the dough to be pliable but not sticky! Add water or flour as needed to adjust the texture!

Preheat oven to 200 degrees.

Roll the dough out until it's about
1/4 " in thickness. Use cookie cutters and press firmly into the dough. Repeat until all dough is used.

Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Set dough shapes on the parchment paper. Using a straw, put a hole through each shape. Bake for 2 to 3 hours. The shapes should feel firm! Turn off the oven and let the shapes sit for another hour in the oven.

Let the shapes cool completely before decorating!

Enjoy!!!

*** use a poly clear coat to seal completed ornaments, it makes them last longer!!! (Optional) ***

--->>> For color, we used tempera paints & chalk markers. We also used holiday ribbon, to create a loop to hang the ornaments fom.
Versa Chalk markers work the best!
