A site worth checking out...

Have you ever heard of the site called Tophatter? I hadn't until recently, but I've really grown to like it & would love to share it with you!

What is it?

Tophatter is almost like an online garage sale. People from all over can buy and sell items, using an auction style platform. Don't worry if you're not into the whole "bidding wars" scenario. Offering both, bidding and buy now options, you get to decide to take a chance or play it safe! There's even a reminder option (to track your favorites)! Think, Ebay. Only more compact, and much easier.

The items for sale range from brand new to gently used. All listing have photos, and detailed descriptions of the item for sale. There's even a list of similar items for sale at the bottom of the item details page. This makes it so much easier to browse products, and find exactly what you're looking for!

How's it work?

Head over to Tophatter.com, and create an account--- It's free!

Find an item you love. Bid on it, or buy it. Its super simple, and bidding is free! If you win an item, thats when payment is expected. Each bid extends the auction time by 10 seconds, so there's plenty of time to get your bid in!
Payments accepted are: Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Discover, Android Pay, Apple Pay, and Paypal.

With Tophatter, you will never pay more than the cost of the item (or bid amount) + any applicable shipping. If you find more than one item you love, click the heart icon. This will allow you to follow the items via reminders, and let you update your bids to win! There are no additional or hidden fees to bid or buy. It's so easy, and with so many deals--- It can be a bit addicting!

This site is user friendly, and offers a great options menu. Once you click the options menu, you see: sell, home, reminders, turorial, account, and search.

What do these buttons do?

Sell
Set up a seller's account, and make money on Tophatter! Post an online auction. Include a starting bid amount, buy now price, shipping amount, and product details & photos. Once your item is sold & delivered, funds will be securely deposited in your account!

Home
This button takes you back to the main page. It's the starting page, that lists current auctions & deals.

Reminders
This button allows you to view and manage all of your favorite items. You can place bids on open auctions, or remove past ones. This button make it easy to track the auctions you're most interested in!

Tutorial
The tutorial button takes you to a one page run down of the site. It also houses a customer service quick link, as well as a FAQ link.

Account
If you're looking for your account information, or purchase history, this is the button for you! It also features help & support links. *** Tophatter offers a share & earn program. Share your link, or friend code, and earn a $10 credit after each friend's first purchase!

Search
This is self explanatory. Click the search button, to search for items by name, genre, or even shipping!

Tophatter is pretty freaking awesome.

I've had tons of fun browsing all of the items available for purchase. In fact, I even bought a few things! The process was ridiculously easy, and rather enjoyable. Where else can you bid in live online auctions, get up to 80% off retail prices, all in 90 seconds?! I'm just saying--- Tophatter.com is definitely a site worth checking out.

Looking fab @ 4

I am always on the prowl for amazing outfits & swimwear for my daughter. She's a mini diva, and can't ever have too much to wear. Right now she's ga-ga for dresses and swimsuits... I don't blame her. It's finally warm enough for the beach, and when you're as cute & sassy as she is---- you have to flaunt it!

Easter was her time to shine. Wearing her favorite dresses, and having so much fun! Now, shes getting ready for summer. Today, she decided to put on a swimsuit show for me. Showing off her latest faves, and reminding me that she's growing up way too fast.

Check out her latest looks!

Easter was a weekend affair for Madison. Which, meant she got to wear TWO "fancy" dresses. She was beyond thrilled. She attended an Easter Egg-stravaganza at the preschool she will be attending this fall, so she had to look amazing. I gave her a few outfit options, and she chose a super cute floral dress by Bonny Billy.

The material is comfortable, but a little stiff. It reminds me of the broadcloth style dress shirts that I wear to work. It's a modest dress, and covers everything that needs to be covered. However, it is sleeveless. This works out well for us, since it's quite warm in southern Florida.

Aside from the beautiful shape of this dress, my favorite feature is the print. It's a busy, floral print, but the colors are bold and very appealing. Plus, they hide small stains well. She's a diva, but she's 3 and accidents happen!

My only complaint about the dress, is that the sizing is a bit off. It's available in a variety of sizes, but it runs very small. Madison typically wears a 3t- 4t, and I ordered this in a 5. The 5 fits perfectly. So, I recommend ordering up a size. The dress does have ties, so if it's a tad big, you can always adjust it a bit.

Following her preschool Egg-stravaganza, was Easter day. Since I had the day off, we all dressed up and headed to church. Usually I work weekends, so this was a big deal! Not to be outdone, Maddie chose the perfect church dress, by Brightly.

This dress made her feel like a princess! The material is lightweight, and has a crynolyn underskirt that helps to keep its puffy shape. It's a gorgeous dress, and totally twirlable--- Which is what's most important to a little girl! That, and the fact that it's covered in tiny pink flowers!!! Also, the adjustable pink bow at

I was going to end here and pick up with swimwear, but I have to take a moment and mention our 2 newest pieces from Bonny Billy. I wasn't expecting them to arrive so soon, but they're here & I'm dying to dish on the newest dresses!

These are cotton, sleeveless dresses. They're lightweight, and fit like a glove. Each dress comes with an adjustable sash, so you can easily tie them at the waist for a better fit. Plus, the dress is available in 4 different styles/ prints. The only drawback is the sizing. These dresses run quite small, so you will need to measure your child for optimal fit.

Madison has this dress in the retro 70's style flowered print, with orange belted sash. She also has the misc. car print (pictured), with leopard trim & bowed sash. She's a huge fan of leopard print, so she immediately fell in love with the leopard trim. However, the retro floral print is super cute too! We can't pick a favorite, so we're going to show off both! The dresses are durable and low maintenance. They're definitely made to last, and I foresee us getting a lot of use out of them!

There's 4 styles to choose from, so click the link below & see which is your favorite!

And now we reach the swimsuit portion of our mini fashion show! I promise, I won't keep you long. In fact, I only have 3 to mention.

Swimsuits come in so many styles these days, it's hard to pick just one. However, when they're reasonably priced, it's always nice to have a few on hand. Especially if they see a lot of use. Rotating swimsuits helps to increase the life of the elastic, and gives you a dry option in the event that the previous days fare is still damp!

If you're looking for something with great sun coverage, I recommend a 2 piece rash guard set. Carter's makes a fantastic rash guard set, that covers well & comes in adorable prints & styles. The only set back is the sizing. Carter's rash guard sets are available up to a size 24 mos. However--- Carter's runs quite large! Madison wears a 3T- 4T, and the Carter's 24 mos. fits her (with just a tiny bit of midriff showing).

On a less conservative note, you can always go for something a bit more fun! This 2 piece is available in blue or yellow, and is solid color throughout. It features a super fun skirted bottom, and has a bias sash on the top. Unlike the Carter's suit, this runs quite bit (maybe half a size or so). It's a super cute swimsuit, but not at all as durable as I'd hoped. After 3 uses, the mesh material that's used on the sash and skirt, has started to fray a bit. Aside from that small issue, it's a decent suit--- with a reasonable price.

Finally, for those of us who go all out, and have to have the most amazing swimsuit possible... There's a 3 piece strawberry bikini. This is by far the cutest swimsuit ever. The material is thick and durable, and the colors are steadfast. It's one of the most well made swimsuits I've come across, and I love that it includes a hat!

This swimsuit is a mock grown- up bikini with a ridiculously cute girlish flair. The top is a standard modest top, with ties for the neck & bust. The ties are thick, and stay in place without issue. Each side has leaf appliques added, and a strawberry charm attached in the middle. The bottoms are well fitting, full coverage, with an added skirted waist band. The bottom also has a dangling strawberry charm, to match the top. Then there's the 3rd piece... The hat. The hat is so stinkin cute! It's also functional! It fits snugly, and keeps the hair in place while swimming. It is NOT a water proof swim cap, but does stay on quite well in the water. If your child has thin hair, or their scalp burns easily, this hat will work perfectly to provide sun protection.

The strawberry bikini fits as expected, and has so far been the only swimsuit that's been true to size. This includes swimsuits in- store, as well as online!

Aside from being budget friendly, the clothes & swimsuits above are all relatively low maintenance. They wear well, and maintain their color and shape.

With the exception of the black & pink dress, and 2 piece outfit (and swimsuits obviously), all of the dresses mentioned above are able to be washed and dried without issue. The black & pink dress is much more delicate, so I'd recommend dry cleaning. You could also wash on a gentle cycle, and hang dry. As for the 2 piece outfit, it can be washed normally. I wouldn't dry it though, we hang dry ours--- it dries quickly.

For swimsuit care, I always recommend rinsing suits in cold water, immediately after use. Then, hang dry. Since we do a lot of swimming, I do machine wash swimsuits---- once a week. NEVER dry them in the dryer!!! Hang them to dry every time. Also, do NOT use fabric softeners on swim wear.

One piece of cloth to rule them all! *Giveaway*

Have you seen those viral videos, the ones with the girl who takes a long tube top & demonstrates how to wear it 7363528 different ways? That's so cool, right??? I doubt I could ever be that creative, or flexible (lol). However, I do love the idea of one item being used so many ways. In fact, my favorite multipurpose textile is the sarong. If you've never owned one, you should go buy one, now! They're fantastic, and they have soooooo many uses!

The sarong, not to be confused with the sari, is a measured cut of material ( usually with fringe). They can also be fashioned out of any material. However, I do recommend something lightweight. You can literally do whatever you want with it... But, I find they're best when worn at the beach. My favorite sarong is from alight.com --- Its made larger, for plus size women, but can be used by anyone.

The sarong from alight.com is a Batik Sarong. It has a very Bohemian look to it, and I adore the print. These sarongs are handmade in Indonesia. Plus, they're available in a variety of beautiful colors! The material is 100% rayon, with a fringed edge. Since many people use sarongs as swimsuit cover-ups, rayon is the perfect material to use. Rayon is well suited, because its thin, breathes well, and dries quickly. It also keeps its color, and doesn't fade as easily as cotton. These gorgeous sarongs are 62" long by 43" wide, making them the ideal size for draping around your hips, and shoulders.

Keep in mind --- Rayon is a relatively durable material, but it is advised that you hand wash these sarongs!

So.... What can you do with a sarong??? As far as clothing goes, the options are limitless. However, there are a few popular ways that they're currently being worn. Check out the following illustration for styles and instructions!

For me, the sarong is a quick, classy, fashionable go-to beach necessity. I LOVE tossing one around my hips, as a quick swimsuit cover, and hitting the sand.

My laundry secret...

I'm truly amazed by the quality and performance of these dryer balls. Not only do they reduce the drying time of my laundry, but they also help to soften clothes. Plus, if I add a few drops of essential oils, they scent my laundry as well. I'm thoroughly impressed with this product! I do an insane amount of laundry, and I hate waiting on the dryer. Just toss these in, and it shortens the drying time.

How do they work?

The balls circulate through the load of laundry, allowing the air to get into every nook and crannie. This helps the clothing to dry faster, vs going around in a heap until they've finally dried. I received my dryer balls as a sample item, to test and review, and im not sure how i ever managed without them... They're easy to use, and super efficient. Plus, they're reusable!

LEABAGS

The Berlin bag by LEABAGS is as functional as it is fabulous!

Constructed similarly to a messenger bag, the Berlin bag has plenty of space, a boxy body, and a nice long (adjustable) strap. However, the Berlin is deeper than it is wide, and features more organized storage than a standard messenger bag. The unique build of this bag definitely adds a bit of femininity, and creates a well-rounded, put-together look!

In addition to an amazing design, the Berlin bag by LEABAGS, is made from some seriously luxurious materials! The inside liner is a nice durable material, in a beautiful olive color. Plus, additional pockets, and pen holders, and stunning leather accents. The best part is the outside... The Berlin bag is made of the most gorgeous, light cocoa color leather. It's
deliciously soft, and ridiculously stylish. It has a flap-close top, and the flap is actually a zippered pouch! It's held closed by a strong magnetic button. Once opened, you find an additional pocket and zip pouch on the front of the bag.  The back is also occupied by a large zip pocket. Making the entire bag a storage masterpiece!

LEABAGS definitely pulled all the stops on this bag. It's luxurious, yet maintains some serious functionality. You can carry just about anything in this bag, and still look fabulous! I received my Berlin bag at a discount, for testing and review purposes, and I'm absolutely in love with it! I highly recommend this bag, it's not only a beautiful addition to any outfit, it's also the perfect gift for any occasion!

Plus Size Fashion *Giveaway*

Being a fashion forward, one-stop shop for plus sizes, Alight.com offers so many styles and options! They have several vendors to choose from, and you can pick vendors based on size or style. The site is a fantastic tool for the plus sized woman, and offers so much--- you can literally buy anything from sports bras, to lavish evening gowns. With so much choice, why would you shop elsewhere?!?

So, it's no surprise that I'm super stoked to have been chosen to review women's plus size clothing for Alight. This is a big deal to me, because I always feel that plus size clothing is misrepresented online. Wether it be actual size vs posted size, the fit of the item, or even the quality of the materials, I always find that something is lacking.

Alight.com has also graciously agreed to provide a randomly chosen item as a giveaway for my readers! This means you'll have a chance to win the items I review. However, you MUST be registered on the Alight.com mailing list in order to win the giveaways, so be sure to head there now an sign up!

Without further adieu, I present to you my first Alight review; Pacific Print Dress by Alight

Dress info per Alight.com
Silky smooth 3/4 sleeve chevron print dress has a v-neckline with two faux pockets at the chest and matching skinny sash belt. Belt runs through belt loops at the sides. Unlined.
Material: 96% polyester, 4% spandex.
Fit Guide: Size 1x measures: 44" bust, 46" waist, 48" hips.
Length: 42 inches.
Cleaning: Machine Wash.
Origin: Made in China.

This dress is super fun, with it's bold retro print, and funky colors. With it's high belted waist, and v-neck, your eyes are immediately drawn up. This is a must have for anyone out there with a pear shape figure, or anyone who's looking to draw attention away from their natural waist line.

The only drawback that I see in this design are the materials used.
Materials: 96% polyester, 4% spandex.

This makes for a snug fit, so I suggest going up a size! This will ensure enough slack to hide any lumps & bumps. In the event you have too much slack, tighten the adjustable waist. This should help tremendously!

The Pacific Print Dress by Alight also features pearl-like button accents. These are super cute, and add some softness to the bold print of the dress. Each sleeve has a button and tie-back, allowing for some much needed character.

Likewise, there are faux pocket flaps with the same style buttons, decorating the left and right breast. Throw in the classy lapeled collar, and you have a completely sophisticated, funky, fun dress that can be worn casually or paired with a sweater and heels for a slightly more professional look.

As with all clothing, I always recommend reading the label for care instructions. With this dress, I suggest washing in cold water with similar colors, and hanging to dry. When in doubt, use the gentle cycle!

My opinion:

The Pacific Print Dress by Alight is super cute, and I love the print & colors. I'm not a fan of the material Had I known in advance the fit of the material, I'd have ordered a size larger. Unfortunately, it shows my lumps and bumps! This has definitely motivated me to lose a few pounds, because I really want to be able to confidently wear this dress!!!

Brightly Lace Tutu Dress

My daughter, Madison, wears a size 3T. I ordered this dress in a 4T, hoping to get some use out of it. To my surprise, a 4T fits like a glove!  This dress runs a bit small, so make sure you order up a size!
Aside from the surprise sizing, which worked out for us anyhow, this dress is absolutely wonderful! The materials used are of very nice quality, and extreme well made!

The bodice of the dress is gorgeous. It's a white material with a Lacey overlay, and it's super soft and comfortable. We live in FL, so the tank style top with spaghetti straps works out perfectly for our weather! As an added bonus, the bodice comes complete with a super adorable flower that matches the skirts, and is adorned with a pretty pearl style bead in the center. The skirts are also 2 pieces; a shorter nylon skirt, with a longer tutu around it. The entire set-up is beautifully made, and can easily be worn for church, semi-formal occasions, and some play. However, I would be weary of my child playing in the dress, it may get stained or torn.

My daughter loves this dress, and has actually refused to take it off! She swears she's Elsa, when she wears this dress. I'm positive that as she out grows her lace tutu dress, it will become a dress-up dress.

I purchased this dress for a discounted price, in exchange for quality testing and observation, as well as my honest review. I highly recommend this beautiful tutu dress, it's the perfect dress for any little girl!
